DD in AP for the TS -- Photo 1

On June 30, 2002, D.D. came down to AP to do the TS. (What's the TS? Keep reading ...) This was the morning the program did a live broadcast from the beach. B.S. (unfortunate initials, I know) was going to give a free performance and the beachfront was brimming. I followed D.D. throughout his crowded task.

Here are nine of the more than fifty shots I took that morning.

D.D. in the car on 5th Avenue. It looks like he's preparing
himself mentally for the thousands of people a few minutes away.
(Either that or he's thinking: "Peter, get the camera outa my
face -- I just woke up ten minutes ago!"
