This item is dated January 3, 1943. The notes read: "Rosamunda Velma now a starlet. Home of Tyrone P., Beverly Hills." The back of this photo is autographed by by "Daynuh Andrus" and "Geen Turnee." (The mispellings appear to be some kind of prank the actors were playing.) The latter left the following message: "Go back home to NJ, Starlet!" Apparently the Starlet was trying out for a film role that the other woman wanted. "Starlet" turned down the role over a salary dispute. The puzzle of the Mystery Woman continues -- in remarkable ways. |
